Safety and health

Keto and fasting can help many people feel better, but they are real changes for your body. KetoBeast and its articles are general information, not medical advice.

Check with your doctor first if you

  • are pregnant or breastfeeding;
  • have diabetes or take medicine that lowers blood sugar;
  • take medicine for blood pressure;
  • have kidney, liver or heart problems;
  • have had an eating disorder;
  • are under 18.

Fasting

  • Start small. Shorter daily windows (for example 14:10 or 16:8) are a gentle way in.
  • Fasts longer than 24 hours should be done with a doctor, with lab tests and monitoring. KetoBeast limits fasts to 72 hours.
  • Drink water, and keep up salt, potassium and magnesium, especially in the first weeks.

Stop and eat if you feel

  • dizzy, faint or very weak;
  • a racing or irregular heartbeat;
  • confused, or unwell in a way that worries you.

For chest pain, fainting or anything that feels like an emergency, call your local emergency number (in Israel, 101).

Your targets

The numbers in KetoBeast are estimates from standard formulas. They never go below safe minimums, but your body may need something different. Listen to it, and to your doctor.
