Privacy policy

KetoBeast is a small personal project by BeastWeb. It is for people who want to try the ketogenic lifestyle and look after their health. The short version: we don't sell, trade or share your personal information, and we don't build ad profiles.

What we collect

  • Your account. Your name and email address. Both are stored encrypted. You can also use KetoBeast as a guest, without an email.
  • What you log. Food, drinks, water, fasts, weight, ketone readings, and your profile (birth year, sex, height, activity and goals). This is health information. You agree to us storing it when you sign up.
  • Technical basics. Your IP address and device type in short security logs (for example, sign-in attempts), and error reports when something breaks.

How we use it

Only to run KetoBeast for you: to show your progress, calculate your targets and send the reminders you turn on. Nothing else.

Ads in KetoBeast come from our own system. We don't use ad networks, and we don't send your information to advertisers. Some product links are affiliate links (for example, Amazon). If you open one, you leave KetoBeast, and that store's own privacy policy applies.

Some images and videos load from other sites: product photos from the store's servers, and YouTube, Instagram or Facebook posts in blog articles (only when you tap them). Like any website, those sites can see your IP address when your browser loads them.

Services that help run KetoBeast

A few services process a small amount of data for us, only so KetoBeast can work:

  • DigitalOcean hosts our servers and database in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Postmark sends account emails, such as password resets. It gets your email address.
  • Google Firebase delivers push reminders, if you turn them on. A reminder can include your fast length, for example "You hit 16 hours".
  • Google reCAPTCHA checks that a person, not a bot, is signing up or signing in.
  • Sentry receives technical error reports. We set it up not to collect IP addresses or personal details.
  • Statsig counts how features are used, with your account ID but not your name or email.

None of them get your food or weight logs.

How we protect it

  • All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
  • Your name and email are encrypted in our database.
  • Only BeastWeb can access the servers.

How long we keep it

  • Your data stays while you have an account.
  • After you delete your account, everything is deleted within 30 days.
  • Guest accounts are deleted after 180 days without use.
  • Security logs are kept for up to 60 days.

Your choices

  • Export all your data from Me → Your data.
  • Delete your account from Me → Your data. You can change your mind within the 30 days.
  • Pause tracking at any time.
  • Ask us anything, or ask for a copy or a correction of your data: bengigiext@gmail.com

KetoBeast is for adults (18 and over).

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change is important, we tell you in the app.
